To start this category off, here is one of my own frames: a rainy evening lane in Monreale, Sicily. It is one RAW file, edited four ways in imagic, and you can flip between them on the imagic homepage:
- Hand edit: my own grade, slider by slider. See it
- Bleach bypass: one of the experimental finishes, desaturated with hard contrast. See it
- Steel: cold, blue-grey and metallic. See it
- Sepia: warm monochrome. See it
The other three are built-in looks (Color Grade in the editor; Bleach bypass and Steel are experimental finishes, Sepia is a classic grade), each with an Amount slider so you can blend it in rather than take it all or nothing.
Your turn. Post a link to your edit (your site, Flickr, Instagram, anywhere public) and tell us:
- the camera and the light you had,
- the look or the sliders that mattered most,
- what you would do differently.
Before and after pairs are especially welcome. Please only share photos you took, and ask first if there are recognisable people in them.
