imagic works as a pipeline. You move down the sidebar, and each step hands off to the next.
Import
Point imagic at a folder. There's no catalogue to build and nothing to sync. Tick scan subdirectories if the shoot is split across cards. JPEG, PNG, TIFF and RAW all work, CR2, CR3, NEF, ARW, DNG, ORF, RAF and RW2 included.
Analyse
Every photo is scored on sharpness, exposure, detail, noise, composition, faces (eye by eye) and whether the subject you focused on is actually sharp. This runs on your machine: your photos are never uploaded.
Review & cull
Double-click any photo for the culling gallery: K keeps, L trashes, J sends it back to review, and the arrow keys move between photos. Detailed Culling View shows every photo's score and the reasons behind it, and Find Duplicates groups near-identical burst frames and picks the best. Nothing is deleted; trashed simply means left out of the export.
Style & edit
Pick an edit style for the whole set, then layer a colour grade on top; every thumbnail previews your own photo rather than a swatch. From there the full slider stack, masks and the AI tools are there, or AI Optimize All gives each photo its own edit.
Export
Choose the format, quality and size, a watermark if you want one, then export every kept photo at full resolution.
