How fast do you need photo software support to answer?

A pattern in this week's public reviews of photo editing tools: the software itself gets decent marks, and the support gets the low ones. Several recent Trustpilot reviews of Evoto describe a contact form with a 1 to 3 business day reply and no phone or live chat, for example this one: https://www.trustpilot.com/reviews/69b94b8c3dda72bf8496f7ec

For most of us a support question lands on a deadline: a gallery due, an export that will not finish, a licence that will not activate on a new laptop.

So a few questions for the community:

  • What reply time do you actually need from photo software support: same day, next business day, or is a few days fine for most issues?
  • Would you rather have a fast email reply from a small team, or a live chat that may be a bot first?
  • Has slow support ever made you switch tools?

For transparency: imagic.ink support is email only (help@imagic.ink) from a very small team, so your answers here will shape what we promise.
