Where do I change the language?
File > Settings (Ctrl+,), Processing tab, Language. Each language is listed in its own name, so you can find yours even if the app is showing one you do not read.
What does System default do?
It follows your computer: if your operating system is set to one of the supported languages imagic uses it, otherwise English. Pick a specific language to override it.
I changed it and nothing happened.
The language is chosen once, when imagic starts. After saving, close imagic and open it again; the notice that appears after saving says the same, in the language you picked.
Does it change what an AI agent or the command line sees?
No. The MCP server and the imagic command stay in English on purpose, because agents read their output.
My language is not on the list.
imagic then uses English. The supported languages are English, German, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Dutch, French and Spanish. Any text that is not translated yet shows in English rather than blank.
